Have you done it? Worked hard enough, eaten enough meals at your desk and woken up from enough fitful nights of solving problems in your sleep?

If you have, and if you’re as obsessed with creativity as we are, you can enter your work into the D&AD Global Awards 2006 for the chance of winning a Yellow or Black Pencil with your name on it. The closing date for entries is Friday 27 January 2006.

Last year, 24,000 pieces of work were entered from 59 countries. 751 of these made it into D&AD’s revered Annual, 60 went on to win Yellow Pencils and four won black. To see all the winning work from the 2005 Awards, become a member of D&AD to receive your free copy of the D&AD Annual & Showreel 2005 - the definitive global record of the best design and advertising from the year. To see what wins in 2006, book your ticket for the D&AD Awards Ceremony & Dinner 2006 on Wednesday 24 May 2006.

1. D&AD Global Awards competition rules
1.1 Every Entry must satisfy the core criterion of being a genuine piece of advertising or design, which was realised in a commercial environment. Concept designs or work created solely for the purpose of entering the awards are not eligible.

1.2 It is the Entrant's responsibility to ensure that each Entry accurately reflects the work that was broadcast, aired, printed or manufactured. No alterations may be made for the purpose of influencing the judges, such as altering colours, changing artwork or copy. The only acceptable alterations to work are those that are made solely for the purpose of satisfying specific competition requirements for the presentation of work, including re-sizing and mounting print advertising, dubbing non-English film entries with translated voice-overs and translating copy directly into English for print work.

1.3 No two companies may enter the same piece of work into the same Sub category. If the Entrant has collaborated on a piece of work with any other company or individual, it is the Entrant's responsibility to ensure duplicate entries do not occur. No refunds will be given for duplicate entries.

1.4 All work entered must have been created and broadcast, published, launched, circulated or aired for the first time between 1 January 2005 and 31 December 2005. Entries may only be entered in the calendar year when they first became eligible for entry, and once entered may not be resubmitted the following year, unless the idea or realisation has been developed or significantly changed.
